Nude Photography
Components of Nude Photography
A good rapport between the model and the photographer is essential in nude photography. The person being photographed may feel vulnerable and self conscious as a nude model. Gentle guidance may be needed to coax for a good photography session.
The comfort of the client is essential in nude photography. This includes both physical and psychological comfort. A safe environment, whether it be a studio or public place, must to be provided for the nude photography client.
As far as public places are concerned, it is best to find a deserted place or a place with times during the day when the population is scarce to consider public nude photography. Indecent exposure is a charge your client won't want on his or her resume if caught in public or if a passerby observes the photo shoot and complains. Not everyone appreciates nude photography.
Physical comfort in the studio usually arrives in the form of warmth. Tungsten lights generate some heat and photographers must keep their studio warm so the skin of the models looks as good as it can. Mottled skin from the cold is not the desired look of a nude model.
Black and white photography is used frequently by nude photographers. The contrast of different light on the nude form is quite expressive and conveys emotions well.
